Hello.

I'm stuck with the agony of choice. What should I listen to? What do you really like. Give me tunes for the soundtrack of my afternoon. Spotify links welcome. Save me from going back again and again like a forlorn puppy to Porcupine Tree.

Thank you.

I am going to listen to Fotheringay "2" (if I don't listen to the Afternoon Play). If you are at all tempted, I will send them to you.

I'm assuming that that's Sandy Denny, in which case yes! I'm very interested.

Hopefully that should have got through before I deleted it for fear of being spammed silly!

Got it! You know I could have guessed it, if I'd thought about it :-)

I like the new album by Adele.

And also Portishead, either their latest or their earleir stuff.

And Barenaked Ladies' Gordon.

Thanks for these. I wouldn't have tried the Adele album without being prompted, so now I simply have to!

Also, I haven't heard any Portishead post 'Dummy' which is an album that divides me and the Very Lovely Mrs. McDingo. Suffice to say, I love it!

And Gordon is one of my favourite albums of all time. You clearly have impeccable taste!

My newest descoveries are Newton Faulkner and the Wombats.

Also, I love the icon. I have been plotting a similar one, but i've not been able to time my photography right just yet. She's not old enough to throw the horns on command ;)

Not old enough to throw horns? Good grief woman, what have you been doing all this time instead of training her?

Newton Faulkner, eh? Hmmm... I don't think I've heard any, though the very lovely Mrs. McDingo has the album. I was put off by an ex-colleague who saw him live, and said he come over as a spoiled rich kid. I'll try and put that aside and give him a reasonably chance. As for the Wombats - entirely new to me, so I'll happily give that a go.

Also - July 18th - KMFDM at the Islington Academy. Now that you're a serious mother and all, you're probably not interested, but if you were, I could see about getting you on the guest list. Not sure if I'm going to make it myself yet, but if I can, I will.

I didn't have you down as a kmfdm fan. No idea why not mind you! I imagine my boobs will still be required by July at this rate... we're still trying to persuade her to take the occasional bottle, so we can leave grandparents in charge for an hour or so, and go to the pictures or something. So far no luck, so I may be doomed to a social life which restricts me to things I can take her to, or which can be done here.... you could invite them to play (quietly) in my living room, or persuade them to do a matinee?

She throws the horns, but only when the spirit of rock takes her, rather than when I say so... Asserting her independence already ;)

I came to KMFDM by connection rather than a musical path - My best mate from school, Andy Selway, just happens to be their drummer (for the last 3 albums, anyway). It's only a small claim to fame, but I think it still counts!

Nell sucks her fingers in such a way that it looks like she's throwing the horns, only backwards.

Thank you. I'll give those a spin while I fill in some job applications.
